One-Sticking & Stealth?

So in all my research to enter this game I really like the idea of one-stick climbing as the lightest and most versatile way to go thanks to Greg Staggs.

However, I have yet to see a demonstration of this method that doesn’t appear to be just as loud as using a climber.

So my question for the experienced one-stickers here is-“Is it possible to be deadly quiet when using the one stick method?”

Yes, with practice you can be quiet. I feel like the only noise I make now is when I set my stick after each move and that just depends on what type of tree I’ve chosen. I used to clank my madrock and carabiner on the stick while I stepped up. I got in the habit of making sure it was to the right of my right knee as I step up now. That’s a little Staggs nugget I picked up and it helps.
